CT angiogram showed a through and through perforation in the first part of right subclavian artery between common carotid and vertebral artery. A definitive assessment of the extent of ongoing leak was made through an invasive angiogram in the catheterization laboratory. The perforation was successfully closed percutaneously with a covered stent without compromising any branch vessels. CONCLUSION Arterial injury although rare is a potentially life-threatening complication of IJV cannulation which warrants immediate attention and corrective measures. Ultrasound guidance can reduce the risk of such life-threatening complications. Methods Starting from the literature, three catalogs of the dyeing species (plants, algae, fungi, and lichens) used in the Mediterranean Basin and mainly in Southern Italy have been created. Percentages of parts used and colors extracted from species have been recorded and analyzed. The plant species present in the catalogs have been verified in the territories of Southern Italy, and the data have been registered. An ethnobotanical survey was conducted, in the region of Southern Italy, to verify the erosion level of traditional botanical knowledge, linked to the ethnobotanical dyeing, over time. Results A total of 524 species were recorded among plants, algae, fungi, and lichens, and related parts used and extracted pigments. Logistic regression was used to assess associations between various components of SEP and hypertension, and interaction analyses were used to determine whether educational attainment modified the association between income and hypertension. Trivandrum, the region of highest SEP, had the greatest prevalence of hypertension, whereas Rishi Valley, the lowest SEP region, had the least. Overall, greater income was associated with greater risk of hypertension. Methods and Results In a model of sporadic aortic aneurysm and dissection induced by challenging wild-type mice with a high-fat, high-cholesterol diet and angiotensin II infusion, MCC950 treatment significantly inhibited challenge-induced aortic dilatation, dissection, and rupture in different thoracic and abdominal aortic segments in both male and female mice. Aortic disease reduction by MCC950 was associated with the prevention of NLRP3-caspase-1 upregulation, smooth muscle cell contractile protein degradation, aortic cell death, and extracellular matrix destruction. Further investigation revealed that preventing matrix metallopeptidase 9 (MMP-9) expression and activation in macrophages is an important mechanism underlying MCC950&#39;s protective effect.
